No, I’m not deaf, in the ENGLISH VERSION Crona is refered to as “he” and to be honest I’m not sure why. But in the manga Crona is obviously a girl, plus it has already been confirmed that Crona is a girl. Like I said, I don’t know why Crona is refered to as a “he” in the english version, but I assure you that Crona is a girl.

Crona is neither boy nor girl, Okhubo’s intention was to leave Crona’s gender un-mentioned, so dang it, just leave that topic off of this stuff, it’s really getting on my nerve’s, because if you’d take the time and actually learn SOME Japanese, in both Manga and Anime, Crona is a IT, meaning NO GENDER, but in English, it isn’t proper to call someone an IT, so they just replaced it with a random gender.

Usually, in english, when someone or something is an unknown gender (i.e. an it) it’s proper grammar to call it a ‘he’. (unless it’s a ship, then it’s a ‘she’.)

All the characters use gender-neutral pronouns in Japanese; as for English, masculine pronouns have been used as gender-NEUTRAL personal pronouns (as exhibited by “mankind”, “all men are created to be equal”, reference to the genderless God as “He” and “Him”, etc.).
The creator of Soul Eater (Ohkubo Atsushi) was actually asked about Crona’s gender in an interview, and he said that he didn’t know. Crona is androgynous until it stops being fun

Its ANIME. A character doesnt HAVE to have a gender and (as in all cartoons) theres no guarentee that it’ll be anatomicly correct.
The CREATOR has said that Crona doesnt have a gender. Therefore CRONA DOESNT HAVE A GENDER. I think the creator would know that better then a few fans.

Well, in this Crona discussion, I would like to explain why I think it’s a BOY:
In one of the earlier shows when….it…was introduced, he was like “I’m very shy around girls.”
…which tells me he’s a boy because if it was a girl I thought he wouldv’e said
“I’m shy around other girls.”

The parts of episode 20 and 21 where maka goes insane are absolutely amazing. Hands down, my FAVORITE part of the whole manga. She goes looney tunes on his ass. So B.A.

You can technically not have a gender, but it’s not heard of among humans. The closest thing to having no gender is having BOTH genders, which is called a hermaphodite (but only if you’re born that way, and yes, it does happen).
Crone is the most annoying character in the whole series, even more annoying than BlackStar, and that’s really something.

He’s thin because Ragnarok steals his food/Medusa doesn’t feed him well.
He’s nervous and girly acting because that’s how his personality is, and because he’s never learned to act “manly”.
And in one episode, they tried to dress him up like a normal guy, giving him jeans and a big jersy. It was pretty funny xD

Guys, please learn a little Japanese and watch the anime or read the manga to know Crona is an “it”. Calling something male also counts for unknown. Even in French, a group of girls is Elles and guy is Ils, but Ils could include a mixture of guys and girls.

okay, this episode does seem to cause alot of confusion, As Black*star at the beginning quite clearly says “okay, he’s all yours,” yet, in the scene in the room that Medusa puts Crona in he/she is clearly wearing a dress.
