I have to say, kishin, thruthfully, that wasn’t very good. It’s a bit of a duh that there’d be no rasengan in here, it’s only for ninja on Naruto. But atleast Black Star can use his soul wavelength to fight.

Naruto has a lot more elemental and magical power going on, and I think anybody from this show would be destroyed by even mid-level Naruto peeps. But they’re two completely different universes, this one is more realistic and mechanical, Naruto is more magical and arcane. So it’s not really fair to compare anything but personalities.

the first few minutes i saw of black star, i instantly thought he was like naruto! lol hyper-active, determined, loud, always yelling about surpassing someone/thing (except narutos is realistic…)
and yeah a lot of people from naruto wud easily beat a lot of people from soul eater. but that doesnt make naruto a better anime/manga. soul eater fights are very enjoyable to watch – especially black star and tsubaki vs that samurai guy (ROUND 2 – I forgot his name yet hes so awesome! begins with an M…). i really enjoyed that fight

I gotta say Soul Eater far surpasses Naruto both in fights and story plot. Furthermore, on the Black Star/Naruto topic, I have to side with Black Star ’cause not only does he have the strength to back up his ego, but he doesn’t have some powerful demon in him that always saves his ass.
I think I read somewhere that Black Star and Naruto have the same Japanese voice actor.
They seem a bit similar to me, since they both have the strongest attack power in their group (I think… it’s been a while since I’ve read Naruto) and they’re both the archetypal hyper dude who learns better hands on then by having things explained to them.

Black Star and Naruto do not seem too similar to me excluding the more shallow points. There are more differences than similarities.
And no, I doubt that Naruto > Soul Eater if they fought. They would be rather equal.

and its too difficult to determine a fight of yagami light against any other anime character. unless light research them first, then he’d win easily – but if he just encountered them, then he wud die, and fast.

Ive heard one piece is somewhat like soul eater, is that true? but one piece hasnt ended yet and i try to watch animes that already ended first.
PS. Naruto and Black Star have in common that they are both very loud. With that I mean that they are constantly yelling around their own name. Therefore its an easy job for Yagami to kill them both.

Oh my gosh, I haven’t been on in a while, and the Naruto Black Star debate is STILL going on! But I agree! If only Masashi Kishimoto and whoever that guy is who makes Soul Eater would team up and do some super cool all out batle frenzy! I’d watch!! As for my believed outcome, I think Naruto would win because, while Black Star is strong and stuff, so is Naruto, there specials don’t matter if you can’t even stand up and do them! Naruto can have some pretty amazing stamina once he’s really into a battle. I could probably go on and on about this, but I think I’m just going to go back up and tally what everyone’s said so far.
OKAY! I did a tally based off who pretty much gave obvious answers, a little bit of read-between-the-lines though, but we had a close result!

what you guys are doing isn’t fair you are comparing naruto of episode 300 and something to black star of episode 37 how stupid is that. if its naruto of ep 37 vs black star of ep 37 black star would smoke the shit outta him and as we watch black star he will get stronger just as naruto has gotten.
If you’re going to compare characters from Naruto to Black Star, you should atleast consider Rock Lee. I believe they share more traits than Naruto and him.

I believe Black Star would win against because of his fighting style. Naruto takes to long to do anything except his Shadow Clone jutsu. His ‘specials’ just takes too long to charge and all that. Naruto fights more like a speedy brawler than anything. Black Star fights more like a speedy warrior-assassain hybrid. Like Naruto, he is strong and quick and sometimes clever. Unlike the orange ninja, Black Star go in for the kill even before his opponent is weakened. He doesn’t have the Godlike stamina to endure a fight longer than a few minutes, but he does have endurance. He could survive some shit that in the Narutoverse would be considered superhuman. This endurance argument can be considered horse shit because of the battle between Sasuke and Naruto. Maybe I am a bit ignorant, but doesn’t the amount of damage the shinobi can take varies from fight to fight? Maybe it just me….
In the end, however, the only real thing that actually matters is speed. How fast can they move? Any hit for the most part could be fatal or instant death. If Naruto could move faster than Black Star, I doubt Black Star stands a chance at all. The main problem with this debate is that we don’t know who is faster. Using Speed Star, Black Star seemed pretty damn fast, but it only seemed that way. It could possibly be that Naruto’s normal speed is equvialent to the Speed Star. If that is so, Black Star is likely screwed.
Another main issue is how they would preceive each other. This can be a big deal in a confrontation like this. Black Star has been known not to take his battles seriously (at least in the beginning), and Naruto would quite possibly hesitate to strike a person like Black Star. I believe this is more of an issue for Naruto than my boy, Star. Naruto definetely(sp?) hesitates when fight ‘good people’ or close people. Hell, in the Sasuke v. Naruto fight, hesitation caused Naruto the loss of the battle. He failed to inflict a killing blow. A few inches downward and it would be death for Sasuke.
However, however: There are key variables missing to this equation. Speed, Disposition, Judgement, and etc. We can not accurately estimate the winner. All this argument is is calling out your favored candidate.
Who will win? Nobody knows, except Anime God. Who do you think, as a matter of opinion and not fact, will win? It is up to you!
I feel sick for putting this much thought into the argument. I could write a novel about this…that is truely sad.

Wow, I’m actually pretty impressed you could even write that much! The debates were pretty good, and you did hold up some good points on both sides. But I do believe you’re right in that we just don’t know what the universe comparison will be. What may be fast in one universe could be slow or even super-human in another. I do, though, believe you’re right about the whole, Naruto may not be able to land a good killing blow. Though he couldn’t kill Sasuke because he’s his best friend. And up against Black Star, Naruto may begin seeing the similarities between them, and will actually want to become friends. So…would there be a battle at all? I think Naruto would have to start running his mouth about being so strong in front of Black Star, and Black Star may have to do something to really piss Naruto off for there to be a real fight.
But, ah, whatever, I’m basically starting my own rant as well. I think all this together would make one hell of a novel. I’d read it! (Then again, I might just be one of the ones who writes it with this.) Anyway, who ever would come out in the end, I’d just plain love to see a battle between them! And if they brought in Rock Lee…I think he may be able to beat a lot of people. He’s basically super-human in his own universe, so imagine what he may do in the Soul Eater one!! Anyway, I’ve said too much. Everyone has their own opinions, and no one can really change them. (Unless you read all this and actually start re-forming your answer.)

@Naomi.k: They mistreat Rock Lee so bad. He’s so powerful, and they know it. But they treat him as a tool to describe someone’s level. “If you can beat Lee, you are this strong.” If the creators teamed up for a crossover, I’d expect them to introduce a superbadass character to totally kick Rock Lee’s ass. Maybe Mifune or Stein or Kakashi, too. I don’t know too much about Mifune or Stein, but the creator of Naruto isn’t above using Kakashi as a gauge.
The only people I can say for sure would win in most cases of Anime Crossover Battles are the people of Dragon Ball Z. When faced with an opponent that simulate the Death Star’s planet destroying power with ease, you better have a death note, geass, or the best brain in the business to handle ‘em.

@Black Guy: I know they mistreat Lee, look at all they’ve done to him! But I think they show his strength because, seriously, they threw all this crap at him about not being a ninja anymore because of the injuries, and yet now he’s a ninja again. (And he’s still pretty tough considering it all.) I think it wouldn’t be a good crossover if they brought out some new super-strong guy to beat everyone up. That would be pointless, and it’d tick off a lot of Soul Eater/Naruto fans. (Because they’d want to see their own favorite characters win, not some new guy.)
And about the DBZ characters thing, I agree, but it’s kind of messed up how they pull out all this super-power stuff that would pretty much kill you in an instant. no no – if naruto was to go into the demon clock with even 2 tails, black star wud DIE very quickly. if he went into sage mode, black star wud die within about 2 minutes and if he used a rasen-shruiken (although i cant imagine how he wud hit black star) that wud also be instant death. what black star lacks is a trump card – but i think black star is more fun to watch in a fight
seriously his fight with mifune (part 2) was one of the most enjoyable fights ive ever seen! it actually showed their movements (in comparison to bleach where they just disappear and re-appear behind each other) and they both used everything in their arsenal while linking them together in a suitable and realistic way – my mouth was open the whole time in amazement

i think crossover of the anime characters in SE and naruto is not possible as naruto are more to elements such as fire,wind,wood etc. Where SE is more towards close range battles and movements…sometimes abit of soul wavelength attacks. If both we to meet, it will be kinda funny. LOL

Once again, someone underestimates Black Star. Like I said before, it is all about speed. It doesn’t matter if Naruto has the nine-tails or sage mode if he can’t hit the target. Lets assume Black Star is faster… If the two fight, before Naruto could switch to sage mode or tap into enough demon chakra to form atleast the first tail, Black Star would have his katana (if he choose to use it) in Naruto’s skull. Naruto can’t recover if he is dead, and his powers take a second to load up. His trumpt cards are useless because of this; Black Star wins the round.

The lastest chapter came out. I knew this would happen since after the Zabuza Arc. They introduce a new baddy, and Naruto grows more powerful. Now, it seems Naruto is the most powerful. This annoys me to no end.
Black Guy when naruto got pile drivered he died and he got healed and even if BlackStar is fast naruto got clones and a lot of other tricks so does black star but if sasuke could beat the crap of BlackStar then Naruto can to cauze he can beat the Crap outta saskue nine tails would make a big difference

Nine-Tails would make a big difference. Sasuke, having the Sharingan, would be able to control Naruto if Tobi…*ahem* Madara is to be believed. Or am I mis-remembering that statement that he made.
Also, Sasuke has a way different fighting style than Naruto. The main thing I am thinking is Sasuke’s genjutsu(sp?) and electrical moves (like that lightning strike one he did on his brother); the lightning strike move, if able to be executed, will be instant death for anyone not Itachi or possibly Pein and Naruto. The genjutsu would have an obvious advantage over Black Star as Black Star never (was shown) taught how to counter it.
One more thing! The Nine-Tails argument becomes weak when you note that Naruto said that he won’t relay on its power (as much as he can). He may still be healed, but you won’t accept the chakra. And thus, if he doesn’t accept the red chakra (and he is not totally pissed), the nine-tail fox is useless except for side-line healing.
Last thing, I swear: It’s not what you can do, but how you do it that decides a fight. A sword into the skull, a sword in the heart, and a sword in the groin are all fatal wounds. Naruto can have all these powerful, one-hit kill moves, but if they are not used properly, they become completely useless. For a Naruto example, look at Shikamaru. He has seemingly weak and low-grade moves, but he is victorious in all his battles. Another Naruto example is Rock Lee vs Gaara! Rock Lee has the Gates which makes him nearly unstoppable for a short time, but because of his ignorance of Gaara’s defenses and other made-up-on-the-spot-shit, he lost miserably.
I’m going to take a minute to look up on something on Black Star.

Black Guy get the big picture BlackStar would never get a sword in narutoes skull and sasuke has the sharingan so he could predict blackstars moves and the sharingan can only control demons in their full state actual demon and naruto gots skills so does blackstar but naruto would win simply because he got more moves and skills and he wooped sasukes ass with like mass shadow clones for an example.
If blackstar threw his chain scythe naruto would grab it and things like that.

I agree in the case of, Hate, what are you talking about? Naruto hasn’t been pile-drived and killed, then healed. Unless you’re talking about something that happens way up in Shippuden. (Becasue Sasuke never did anything like that. The worst he did to Naruto was knock him out from the collision, and shove the chidori [The lighting move you mentioned, Black Guy.] into his chest.) I also agree on the terms that you have to know how to deal your blows properly, or else you’re basically screwed. (And that’s about the whole way Shikamaru wins, because he’s thinking the whole time, trying to get ten steps ahead of the opponent, which usually works, only problem is that in the end, he’s normally saved at the last second or he gives up.)
Oh, but Black Guy, Naruto wouldn’t be able to use genjutsu on Black Star because he can’t! (If you’ve read a flashback Naruto had while they were rescuing Gaara (While Kakashi fought Itachi.) (Yes, this is in Shippuden.) Then he remembered how Jiraiya said he wasn’t cut out for genjutsu, and he only told him how to get out of it. (Now, I’m on Narutos’ side of who’d win, but discussing this I feel so neutral.)
When did Sasuke join the fight against Black Star? He’s just an example for Narutos’ case. And aslo, Naruto never beat Sasuke with a mass of shadow clones, unless you’re talking about episode three where Naruto snuck up on him. In which, actually, wasn’t even a real fight. You need to get your facts straight, Hate.

Actually, Black Star has more moves than the anime shows. I just finished the last fan-translation of the manga, and as far as I can see, Black Star’s new aquired ‘moves’ are equally to that of Naruto.
And Naruto didn’t die. That is mere speculation on your part. There was nothing said during that battle to indicate that Naruto pulled a Jesus and revived himself from the dead. For all you know, you could have been near death but recovered.
And Sasuke can control the Nine-Tail Fox without Naruto going full-kitsune. You remeber the first episode of Shippuden? It was the episode where Sasuke stopped Naruto from using the Nine-Tail Fox’s chakra by invading his mind(?).
Noami, the lightning move I was referring to happened in the manga and possibly the anime if they reached that chapter already. It was Sasuke and Itachi’s final showdown. Sasuke used real lightning.
If you kept up with the Soul Eater manga, Hate, you’d see that Black Star has the ‘Shadow Clone’ move, too. Anyway, Black Star is capable of handling multiple opponents.
One more thing, number of moves does not equal skills. It is how you use these moves that matter. Since you are a fan of Naruto, can you tell what happened when Sasuke challenged Deidara(sp?)? Or probably a better example, when Deidara challenged Gaara. That fight prove both the points I presented in this paragraph. Garaa used, and had, more techniques in the battle, but he was defeated by Deidara who used maybe one or two.
If I remember correctly by the way, didn’t Sasuke beat Naruto. He destroyed most of Naruto’s shadow clones in an instant. He was taking them out faster than Neji did.
Also, like I said before, speed wins all. Pointy objects in Naruto and Soul Eater (for the most part) work like those in the real word. A good stab in the head or the heart would be fatal. If Black Star is fast enough to pierce Naruto, the battle is won by Black Star. If Naruto is able to hit Black Star with the not-always fatal resengan(sp?), the battle might be over. Speed also comes into play when fighting against Sasuke. It was mentioned like three distinct times that Sharingan can predict the movements of the opponents, but that doesn’t mean the user can react. Ironically, the fight between Naruto and Sasuke is a good example where Sasuke was think it as Naruto was gaining the upperhand. The short scuffle between Lee and Sasuke also established the fact.

Then it would be a battle of strength, and if Naruto was stronger, Black Star would probably tell Tsubaki to turn into her smoke bomb mode and then into one of the Kata if not into the Demon Sword mode for a killing strike.
Also, Naomi, when I mentioned the Genjitsu, I was just stating Black Star’s (and Naruto, since this would still apply to him) weaknesses using Sasuke as an example. I know Naruto lacks the ability to use “smart ninjitsu”.

Black Star’s style has changed if his lastest fight with Mifune is an indicator. He now fights seriously at the start of a fight and doesn’t go around being obnoxious atleast during the fight.

um… i know this topic has been going waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long, but i just wanted to put out there that narutos rasengan isnt really as amazing as it may seem. id like to put out the fact that his speed doesnt accelerate when he uses it. in all seriousness its about 2 steps up from coming straight at someone with a knife. its a direct attack and it leaves him way too open.
his shadow clones are a better technique in my opinion, but Fey blade would be pretty good at dealing with them.
this is all my opinion but ive always felt that narutos rasengans power was way exagerated.
His bigger version of Rasengan is definitely an one-hit kill. It is slow, but it packs the punch. The normal rasengan is okay for weaking the opponent, and it is especially good at knocking someone of balanced if it connects. His shadow clone jutsu can be used to confuse and exhaust his opponent or better yet, give him a chance to deal a crushing blow.
Also, the new, shuriken-shaped rasengan can completely destroy most opponents and in my opinion, Black Star is included.

…. I think that unless you are TOTALLY caught up on BOTH manga, (naruto and soul eater that is) you probably have NO idea how any fight would turn out.
Besides alot of characters in Naruto have gotten INSANELY powerful, in the forefront…. Naruto and Sasuke. Talk about above hokage abilities… these two are reaching dragon ball z status soon. Watch, they are all going to be like “He could destroy the entire country with a blink of his eye” After all Pain already did something similar to that.. it just shortened his life span.
Okay, I haven’t been on in a couple weeks so I’ve completely fallen behind on everything. (including the two latest episodes I still have to get to.) But, anyway, I think I’m done with the huge debate. Besides the point against hate that black guy already pointed out, Naruto did not die in those episode!! He was still completely alive. With all honesty, hate, you’ve been saying a lot of things that are untrue to the actual show, and I really think you need to get your facts straight before you try and give evidence again. Okay, just wanted to get that out. See ya!!

It’s obvious that Death the Kid could beat pretty much any Naruto Character.
If they attacked him his immense speed would probobly be used to dodge and tehn either shoot or disable the opponent, if it was the latter this would giv ehim a chance to use Death Cannon.
