Not bad. I like Stein’s voice.
All the voices are actually starting to grow on me… even Black Star’s.

Stein’s voice is pretty nice. All the voices are starting to grow on me, too. So these are coming out like…two a week? That would mean next week the thing with Stein will be done, and the oh-so-hilarious episode 6 will come out too! Can’t wait for that!

I know the voices wont sound exactly the same, (of course) but these dubbed voices arent anywhere near the originals, by a landslide…

I’m actually a big fan of Vic mignogna, but sadly i gotta say this isnt one of his best voiceacting roles. I don’t think his voice sounds right for spirit. Here and there in these clips with him, he sounds alright, but more than 80% of the time, it just dosnt sound right.
I really hope stein’s voice sounds better than that one sneakpeek i saw last week
He sounded ok in this episode. but he only said like 5 words. So i really cant wait till the next one gets released to hear more of his voice <3 <3 <3

Seriously? People dont like Vic as Spirit? Im not some uber fan defending him, i really think his voice is really good for the role. I mean, Spirit is goofy as hell and Vic hits the way he says MAKAA pretty nicely.
Sid’s voice sounds great ^^ and Stein’s voice too! I have to say, Funimation is doing a great job with the dub. Everyone’s voices are starting to grow on me, even Spirit’s and Black*Star’s
AHHHHHHHH VIC MIGNOGNA!!!!!!!! Why must he DESTROY everything i hold dear *sobs* WHY!? God i hate that man with a passion.
On a lighter note, the voices are starting to grow on me too. Monical Rial still makes me want to pull all of my hair and out kill puppies, but black star’s voice is getting more bearable. Love Laura Baily to death but… she’s making Maka just a liiiiiitle too girly. Soul’s voice is.. hmm… I give him a B +. Stein’s voice was nice. Cid’s was good. Kid is still…. well…. he’s …. he’s Todd. I mean… todd is todd is todd is todd no matter what role u put him in. He sounds like every single role he’s ever done and not death the kid. But it’s not bad acting i guess. I think he just gets a little…. toooo propper in the way he speaks. And his voice is really high pitched. Shinigami’s is…. well better than I thought it would be. I actually like the voice, but his acting could be a bit better. Shinigami is a lot more wacky and over the top than this guy is portraying him. that’s all i guess.
I’m honestly not thrilled with the English voices thus far. A couple are ok – Spirit and Sid, for example – but a lot of the others just aren’t doing it for me. I’m not saying they should sound just like the Japanese cast; let’s face it, there are certain inflections that just don’t work in English. However, I don’t think I’m asking too much for the actors to sound a little more interested in what they are doing. The Japanese cast really got into their characters, giving them a life of their own, but I’m not getting that in the Dub. A prime example is Shinigami-sama (I refuse to say Lord Death…sounds weird after all this time), who just seems bored with the part.
Also, for everyone who is falling in love with Stein’s English voice already…really?! How can you even tell? He only said like 5 words, none of which show off his character! I’m not saying he sounds bad, I’m just saying we might want to hold off on judgments until we actually get to hear him say a little more.
Some of the voices are pretty good, but some aren’t. LIKE BLACK STAR’S! My god, they should have gotten someone better. HE SOUNDS LIKE A GIRL!!!!
I’m really loving the dubs so far. I’m glad the site is back up, too; it was down for a bit, at least for me. I had to watch the last two episodes on FAILimation’s website, and it sucked! I was continually interrupted my ads, right in the middle of a scene, and I couldn’t skip back and forth between sequences as I pleased. I’m sticking to SoulEaterEpisodes from now on! Thanks for posting these!

Jeez I hate these stupid dubs…the only voices I’ve liked so far were Blair’s, Maka’s, Tsubaki’s, eh..I don’t really hate Soul’s but I think they could have made it better. Spirit and Sid’s are pretty good. But for the love of god I HATE SHINIGAMI’S VOICE! The Japanese voices were just so much better..the two english voices that REEAALLLY made me wanna bitchslap my computer were Shinigami’s and Black Star’s. I mean I knew Black Star was voiced by a girl before the dub came out but this is far more horrible than I could have imagined.
I like most the voices. Blackstar’s was horid at first but its become bearable and I don’t see why everyone is hating on Shinigami’s voice. Sure its not near as good as the Japanese voice but it is still really good.
The problem with Spirit is it seems Vic is trying to sound more like an adult in this anime and half the time he comes off sounding like my dad. And HanHan was right, his MAKAA! is perfect.

Honestly! I personally like Black Stars voice! Stop complaining that it “Sounds like a Girl”. IT IS A GIRL! I’m a girl who acts as a boy in all kinds of local plays and when people complain that I sound like a girl, I take off my wig and I’m all “Well I play this part way better than any BOY could!” I know that IS rather arrogant of me, but it’s the truth!
The voices are starting to grow on me, I still wince a little when I here Black Star’s voice, but Not as much as when I first heard it X3

Really? O: I personally LOVE all of their voices. 8D I don’t really like the original version, and I’m going to wait for the dubbed episodes to come out before I watch the rest of the series. (I’m watching the first episodes again) I absolutely love Kid(d)’s, Stein’s, Soul’s, and, well, everyone’s voices. Lol. I watched a few of the original episodes that aren’t dubbed yet, and I’m going to re watch them, because I miss Kid(d)’s voice. :C LOL. Pathetic. XD

Voices are voices. I like them all. i like the japanese version and the english. sometimes i dont understand the japanese so i watch the english to know better. IDC if the voices are english and the show is a japanese anime. as long as the plot is good im fine with the voice. actually sometimes i hate the voices for some shows but this one i like them all… plz dont comment hateful things on mine. cuz i wont care.

I love all there voices, sure some may not fit perfectly. But you have 3 options.
Watch dub, watch sub, or shut the fuck up and go watch something else.
My favorite pairs gotta be Tsubaki and Black Star, Black Star can be a complete idiot but when he gets serious your screwed! Soul and Maaka..hell you gotta love them just for them. Every character in there is awesome some way or another!
I think I figured it out!
They made Black*Star have a high-pitch girly voice to show he’s not mature yet. Like, he think’s he’s going to surpass God when he hasn’t surpassed puberty yet. Even though, I don’t know how thats possible, I mean, man, he’s got muscles. Just a theory.
