Oh, so this is where the anime starts to differ from the manga. O_o I’m interested… I wonder how this will turn out? *snerk* I love how they were messing around with Medusa and teasing her about her pumpkin panties. xD Reminds me of Blair… She hasn’t been around in a while. Then again, whenever she appears, there’s definitely going to be copious amounts of fanservice. o_o;;

if Black star was the (Main-)protagonists then the show would not have such a cool name think about it would have Black Star as the name it would sound like a ninja anime (nothin against ninjas) nothin to do with souls(souls are like a huge part of the whole anime) so just think about that
Maka presents your normal average female as a lead, so of course she ISNT annoying. Without the element of “Sorrow, struggle, and doubts” this show would be boring. I mean, if this show was about 100% you must admit you would lose interest to see it because then you would be like
“Ah Maka is perfect, and she is smart therefore we know what is going to happen.”
So, no she isn’t annoying, and hopefully people understand that. Her personality, of struggle and constant need to figure out something is an important element of the show. A show with perfection, would be just boring.
Of course this show has balance, there for the other character help benefit other characters.
And yes there must be more Blair xD

Wow those of you who said bad stuff about Maka and Soul…I like them, I think they are awesome protagonists!~ They are very different from others that I’ve seen, and I think they make a great combination.I really love Kid, and he would be cool as the main main character, but there is a reason why he’s not, and actually I would still prefer Maka and Soul.As for Black star…I wouldn’t want him as the main main, it would be too naruto…but I like him as just a side main like he is now…xD; If that made any sense…
Then again, aren’t all of them sort of the “main” character, sometimes they have even whole episodes to themselves…
Maka is awesome. She is such a refreshing protagonist among the sea of boring cliché shounen heroes who are unrealistically perfect, and win every fight simply because they’re the main character (they’re almost as bad as Mary Sues).
There really needs to be more heroes like Maka in the shounen/action genre.
My favourite character is definitely Crona =3
(Although I’m still not sure whether or not Crona is a boy or a girl… sometimes they just say “it”… D: )
After Crona, I guess it would be… Death the Kid, and then Stein.

Lolz, I love how this show never ceases to be entertaining. The whole Shinigami and Spirit/Death Scythe bit was funny. I bet even in the battle with the Kishin, they’ll still be a load of comedy.

Medusa was hilarious in this episode with the Pumpkin Panties part, lol so unlike her normal evil self. And I feel like I am the only person who doesn’t hate Black Star, and the only person that does hate Maka. Sure Black Star has like a huge annoying ego, but that’s what makes him, him. If he were to be calm and not so stupid then he’d be just like the other main characters. (Kid aside because he’s normal untill he see’s something unsymmetrical and goes all freaky deaky). And Cyn, I agree with you on some parts maka doesn’t need to be 100% perfect, it would make the anime boring, but they could turn the constant need level and everything down just a little bit. It’s annoying how like when she lost against Crona the first time, she wanted to get stronger and stronger and blah blah. anyway her attitude just annoys me.
