You know in the end this anime wasnt all that great theres still a lot of crap that does not add up, for example maka never saw her mother again, crona never got out of his retarded dress, and the final battle was kinda lame. To say the truth fight should of ended with maka`s kieshen hunter, and another thing is that the kieshen turned into a wuss he should have died with honer. Well in a lot of ways this anime really kicked ass but what I cant quite understand is why did she get to transform into a weapon at the end, the creators of this anime should have really created a season 2. Well any ways I hope you guys really loved this anime like i did.
She transformed into a weapon at the end because her dad is a weapon, therefor she could also be a weapon. It only awakened when she was unconscious, but it disappeared again when she regained consciousness. AND I agree! this anime really KICKED ASS!! but the ending….ehh could be a bit better. And a little bit more background/story. Hope there will be season 2!
i under stand but the whole point of the kieshaen was that he was a coward and carona is actually a girl they made him a guy in dub and she transformed because they shared black blood remember which is still blood so she had weapon blood in her

I think will be no season 2 because they already too strong. Beside that , the ending words is “Courage”. It is a strong ending that unchangeable. In addition , the Director had put a another ending in the anime that Maka said “That’s Bravery That Everyone Had In Heart” (Episode 51 Time : [07:15~07:25] )
I also don’t mind is your hope for season 2 but face the reality ~

well i uderstand both your and hatter’s opinion that this might be the ending to this anime but i am a little disaponted. like have you notested that the seven main charicters (black star,kid,and that girl i forgot her name but you know who, and their wapons).well we know theier past and reasion for joining this school exept for soul. he is the on i was most interested in and i notest that they dont tell you why he’s their like whats his motive for being there and it makes m wander. but aside from that that semes like an ok ending to me, i’v seen warse, it seemed a little to random that she would develop or awaken something so new as a power. like come on thats to cheesey. but i gess that kid also did that to soo well what can you expct. one random event after another. mabey they did it so we could not geass what would happen next.but i still wander why soul hates his real name,couse we all know he does he told the demond thing not to say it.

I was disappointed with the end… Nothing was tied except Kishin part. And Soul doesn’t like his name family name because his older brother, Wes, is a superb violinist. Soul is talented with the piano, but he always thought he could never surpass his brother and was ashamed of himself. When he found out he had weapon-blood, he moved to Death City and changed his last name to “Eater” (Soul “Eater” Evans). That’s why he doesn’t like his family name.
OK, this is what i’ve gathered so far, I MAY BE WRONG SO DONT GET YOUR HOPES UP…
BONES (the makers of soul eater) want to make a second season BUT, before they do, they want to see where the manga’s story goes.
i saw the opening to the second season on a forum (not sure if its legit cos i’ve never seen any of this season’s openings) along with a post form 2 or so years ago, saying that it was schedualed for mid 2012.
AGAIN: I may be wrong, the details are still a bit fuzzy, and im not %100 sure that its true

The thing with the scythes coming out out maka is because since her dad is a death scyth, his blood in maka awkened and thats why its there is scythes coming out of her.

I LOVED THIS SERIES!!!! i found out about htis series by a music video: Soul eater – monster remix… i instanly fell in love this this series.. this is my favorite series then its vampire knight!! <3333 i love maka and soul! they are my favorite characters and (i think they would make a pretttyyyyyy cute couple!!). i love black stars determination and funny sense of humor!! xD i think at some times in the series we thought at least one time black star scared us… Kid is very powerful, but has still much to learn.. i also really love STEIN!!!! he was soooo awesome!! i think he started to scare me close to the end. ^_^ good thing that lady was there (can't renember her name right now)… Oh, to all those people who spent their time reading this, Thank You soooo much… i hope it wasn't too boring… Well over all i love the series!

Even though i doubt that it’s possible for a season 2 i really wish that if there was one more season, that it would be the season where they all become a death scythes. As for the ending i loved it but it could use some work like go farther into what happened after the keshien died, unlike the pictures at the end. wich shows them fixing the town so, why don’t they go further the only real thing that i could tell was that corona got to be good friends with everyone maka’s dad started to smoke and the reaper had made a full recovery. That’s only from the pictures at the end so why is there no part of the ending of the pictures video showing us what happened not even a speach from death or anything. I thought that there would be something in the end saying something that would help with real life but i guess it let me down there too. Other then that it was a really really great ending. After all the action i was depressed on how every thing they tried didn’t work but then maka punches him in the head and he dies, maybe because it was his third eye but still how does that beam cannon that death the kid fire not kill him but a punch to the face does. what type of bullshit is that?
I think, just to break it down, that the keishen (I DON’T CARE HOW ITS SPELLED I’M CANADIAN AND ITS FUKN HARD TO FIGURE OUT) had been losing his strength as Maka kept defying him so in the end he was simple to take care of but no one knew how until someone actually decided to punch that wuss in the 3rd eye. any-who after that his face shattering like a mirror i think just symbolizes that its easy for anyone to smash their fears like a mirror. (and for those who are all in on superstitions) the fear of breaking a mirror and getting of bad luck. also… back to my normal personality even though i havn’t read the manga i think they should still reveal more about Lord Death’s “old friends” who were still blacked out last i recall.
Damn, even though it’s very unlikely, they’d be mad not to make a season 2. I’mhooked on this story line, and the background too! I’VE LEARNED TO MUCH ABOUT THE SOUL EATER UNIVERSE FOR IT TO BE GONE FOR GOOD D:

I think another series would have to be all new bad guys. If they tried to bring Medusa back again (which i think may happen as her snake is in the tree when they show Free and the other witch at the end) it’s going to be repetitive, all the characters died more than once but always made a full recovery after a little speech, Kinda annoying. The ending pretty much sucked, I loved how it started and the middle parts were all great (except Excalibur) but too many unanswered questions.
I have to say this ending was absolutely awful. The Kieshen gets kill by a punch?! And I understand that the Kieshen was a coward and all but they over did it completely! I haven’t liked Maka since the beginning though, she does the same things over and over and soul has to save her ass so many times. She closed her eyes when the Kieshen attacked her. Beginning to episode 50 was good, even Excalibur was cool. But last episode ruined it completely. (Besides soul eating the little demon. That was amusing.)
omg they needa make a season 2 cuz it only took a month for me to finish the whole season thingy.it was quite epic and i wanna watch more of it if they make another season.

I have just finished this anime and to thing that such a cool and creapy (in a good way) a nime would have the suppure powerful villen snap like that. I know he a fready cat but man if your that scaredjust hide under your pillow man. he realy seamed cool whn he was colm i mean th villen but whn he snaped he was just enoying.
i saw some of the coments above say there is a manga on this i think i will look for it i want to find out whats up with the ever so cool soul will have bared in his past and why does he hate his name so much. he is the one who realy stands out and i thing that he should of bin used to kill the villen.
be sides that i think things turnd out ok and it was not the worsed ending to a story i’v ever saw. try cartoonnetwork if you want that.but i have a feeling it not over and if their is a second season i hope that the alein dud that says fool a lot does not show up as much he even enoyed my and im not even looking for eternal greatness……

In all honesty, this entire anime was really, really good. The art was fantastic, and the graphics were just as well.
However, I really wish it would have followed the Mangas more closely! I kept waiting and waiting and waiting for the Book of Eibon to show up, and it never happened.
That was one thing that got left out and unsolved, and that really bothered me. Kid went in to get that book, saw it was checked out by “M” and that was that. However, it was never resolved.
Also, I didn’t like how Arache died. In the Manga (excuse my spoilers) Maka kills her, and her, being a witch, serves as the which soul Soul needs to become a Death Scythe. This was another thing that never got resolved, but seemed like the main subplot the entire time.
Also…Soul’s demon was a little confusing. It was never explained what exactly he was. Was he the black blood? And if so, why was he in the form of a Demon? Is it just like with Crona and Ragnarok? The black blood takes the shape of a being?
Another thing that was never explained WAS Crona. He’s the son of Medusa, but Medusa was a witch. Why was none of her witch genes passed onto her son? Or is he even a son? In the manga, he’s pursued as a female, but in this anime it seems like he’s a boy. It would be nice to define his gender.
I also want to know what will happen with Free, Erica, and the rest of Arachnophobia’s followers. That was unsolved, and a little lazy.
To solve all of these issues, I’d highly suggest a Season 2. That way, you can fit in all the left out plot for the Mangas, as well as feed the hungry fans.
All in all, though, it really was an interesting anime. Count me in for a t-shirt to the fangirl club

I hate getting to the end of an anime though. Even if I watch it in the space of 3 days, I still feel attached to the characters. The amount of times the voice in my head shouted “NO!” when I thought a character died is countless. I hope there is another season. I don’t care if it goes off story from the manga, and sure its lazy, but I love watching the creations people make. There’s only so much they can produce. I only really discovered anime about 3 weeks ago and I’ve seen Every episode of Darker than Black, Soul Eater and Highschool of the Dead. Im not sure which anime I’m going to be watching next, but whatever it is, I hope it is just as good as this and the rest.

There are so many questions unanswered, like:
1) Does soul ever become a death scythe?
2) A lot of connection between maka and soul, do they like eachother?
3) Is Crona a boy or girl? They never told gender.
4) Who is Maka’s Mother?
5) Since Maka is both mistere and weapon, what will happen to her?
6) How is it going with Stien and Marie?
7) What happened after they were done with their task?
8) Can Blackstar get anymore annoying than he already is? (i’m sure it’s yes)
9) Will Death the Kid find what his father has been hiding?
10) What happened to Blaire? she wasn’t here for even half the season.
There will be a season 2, since there are many questions that do not have an answer to them. I’m 99.9% positive it will be released in mid 2012. Also if anyone has the answers to even 1 of these questions, PLEASE comment, i’m so curious, i can’t wait anymore because i’m about to explode of curiousity.

i love this anime but there is a lot of unanswered questions regarding Soul’s past, Kid’s lines of Sanzu and all those other people from Lord Death’s guard squad.
and did anyone else notice that Kid was the only meister that didn’t have some kind of battle inside his soul. That would have been an awesome episode.
Plus there is so much we don’t know about Maka’s mother and I really want to know what the heck Eruka and Free are going to doing with all their spare time.
The ending went a bit too fast and was a little weak. So i think there should be another season!!!!!

Will Death the Kid ever take his dad’s place? How old is Death? Finally the most important question of all: Will we ever see Blair naked or half-dressed again? *Maka hits me in the head with her book*

ok @cool dude ur wrong on two acounts first souls blood is not in maka black blood is when maka and soul resonated on the london bridge black blood which is not souls actual blood (bc if u think about it he didnt have the black blood nor the demon dream until after the fight with corona) transfered to maka second maka is half weapon and half meister and if u dont agree then you are an ideot bc if u think about it makas mom was a meister and her dad was death sythe (A.K.A. spirit) spirits blood courses through makas veins there for making her part weapon. oh btw the ending makes sence once you think about it ashura in an earlier episode told lord death he has stoped imagining so human emotions no longer efect him for without imagination how can u theorize what can happen to u and what the future holds hope is an emotion dealing with the imagination for hope in esence is reasurance for those who imagine with this knowlage ashura became frantic at the soden realization that hope is a consept he no longer can grasp.

If souls blood was in maka, it’d make soul her father which is logically impossible. Here is a more detailed intro on maka,
Maka gets her weapon blood from her father, Spirit, now in the beginning he is called death scythe as he is a weapon to lord death. Maka’s mother gave her meister blood which is how she can wield a weapon like soul eater. Maka can when she is unconscious, she can summon blades over her body like spirit can when he is conscious this makes her a weapon and a meister. The weapon blood only activates when she is unconscious as she don’t know she can summon weapon blades on her body when she is conscious. There for she is a weapon unconscious but a meister when she is conscious.

And for the kishin, asura said ‘i have stopped imagining’ which when he fights maka, when he feels her bravery and hope he gets half choked up because he can’t grasp it but also is unsure how she can be so calm with the fight going on and the world becoming engulfed in madness. this makes him angry because he don’t know why and the battle soon ends when she gets close enough and strikes a punch to his face, which shatters his skin because he wasnt thinking straight and was unfocused for a time being. this makes him loose and maka win.
and to answer your question about ‘will there be more soul eater?’ there will be, they are currently waiting for the soul eater series to progress more. prob another 51 chapters before they make more.. Now, if i’m correct, there is a soul eater ps3 game out in japan. The game you can be a meister or weapon in the world of soul eater. (aka death city and such) the intro starts with the same as the first video of soul eater in the dub and sub. with lord death explaining the schools reason and such. The game is a mmo or a multiplayer game. like many games on the web and on ps3. the npcs are of course, the thompson girls, liz and patty, their meister, death the kid, his father, lord death and the other characters in the anime. I may be wrong and you may just be able to play as one of the characters and play through the manga. i’m not sure. It is not yet in english. i have a copy though which i am giving away on ebay.. but i am taking it off since i never played it..

I have just recently finished this anime for the second time. I was a little bored so I watched it all twice in a week. really loved it Death the kid was funny with all his little outbursts because of the symmetry. BlackStar was insane and didn’t quite grasp the assassins stay in the shadows in the early episodes. I loved it when Soul played the piano to resonate them all. I’m sorry but the Excalibur episode were annoying but he has one of the best lines in the show “FOOLS” made me laugh every time especially when Death, Spirit and i forget didn’t acknowledge him what so ever. The punch was a silly way to beat the kieshan but that girl can hit, haha.
Anyway awesome show and hope the do make more because I would like to see all of Lord Death’s elite force.
