about the new season, I heard at comic con they said they were thinking about it but didn’t make enough profit to make another season, so.. everyone better buy the DVDs..seriously just go to the best buy DVD section or go to google shopping and type it in..
Try Play.com they have em for 21.00 – 25.00 £ € and $ per DVD they have parts 1 2 and 3 released they would make roughly 75.00 per person and 100.00 when the 4th part comes out so if dedicated GET BUYING. i got parts one and two

Well… the series was awesome, I loved it… and I’m glad Ashura died… oh yea, Ashura is one freaky bastard, I mean how the hell did his head spin around 360 degrees? O_o… and he was at one point supposed to be human… damn… it was kinda funny when he got the punch from Maka, though, he was like “hahahaha! You didn’t even scratch me, there’s no way a weak talentless little human like you could beat me– *Face cracks*” Oh and Black Star and patty:

There are a few games, the most popular is Monotone Princess for the Wii. Unfortunately it is not in english and does not have english subtitles, and you can only play it on a Wii made in Japan.

Haha it’s not over, in fact as far as I know, the manga goes quite a bit farther than the anime. It’s the same with animes like D.Gray-Man, it’ll most likely never have another episode of the anime, but the manga is ongoing still. It’s supposed to begin a new season once the manga gets farther ahead, but I doubt it.
So to everyone who hasn’t gotten enough Soul Eater yet, go out and buy the manga :p

Problem with subs: You miss half of what’s happening to try and read the text. Thus making the patient wait for dubbed episodes better (in my opinion.)

damn it i was hoping death would have removed his mask so we could see what he looks like or that makas mother would appear at the last second and help that lazy broad the world was going to hell and she no where in site and is it just me or was Medusa snake seen at the ending in the credits and don’t get me wrong i like the show and the ending was okay but i would not say its one of the best endings i seen in other wards could have been better and one last thing what happen to the whole becoming a death scythe thing they need to make a new season there just to many damn things left that needs to be done

Awesome way to end the series. I’m glad to have seen this from beginning to end. Not a lot of anime I’ve seen that has me stick by the whole thing…
My only question is when the day comes for a new Soul Eater will it be a continuation to tie in the manga or a fresh start restart like FMA Brotherhood?

why the hell it had to end to soon. It could have been stretched to at 100 episodes
200 and all could have worked. As a matter of fact it would be awsome if they would come up with new episodes by the ending of this year or the beginnig of next year with new and old vilans.
FOOL! You clearly know not of what you speak! It’s always better when a series gets the plug yanked on it too soon rather than allowing it to stagnate and consist of fillers. Rurouni Kenshin had one of the most awesome seasons in anime and then it got followed up with 30+ episodes of filler junk. As for it being stretched to 100 or 200, I’m aware that a lot in the manga got left on the cutting room floor, but this tale taking four times as long for it to be screened as you suggest with 200 would make it painfully slow more than anything, the fact that it wasn’t was something about this series that appealed to me.
AGREED! We all know of a well known painfully slow anime that has continued to air for a while now. I’d rather have an anime actually have an ending as opposed to 20 episodes of pointless chatter, endless stares while the wind’s blowing, and complete full explanations of every second of each battle with recaps and flash backs. I sware every episode of that anime explains the complete story in detail as if the audiencde is retarded and doesn’t remember. If you dont know what anime I’m talking about then you should stop reading. I am very glad out the outcome of Soul Eater, it was simple, yet complex at the same time. And I can only think of a few episodes that were completely pointless. FOOLS!
Woah. Great ending, I wish there was more. But I wonder, does Maka know she’s a skythe? Cause she was unconcious when she was using all those weapons, so she might not know. Just immagine, the only one who knows that she’s also a weapon is the kiishan.

If these rumors of them needing more money to do a second season are true, I sure as hell hope that they get the money. It’s possibly coming to [adult swim] next month, where it could do well in ratings and encourage BONES to get the finance together for it.
And if a second season comes to light, I hope for an episode arc based on the arc in the manga where Kim and Jacqueline are brainwashed into Arachnophobia, mainly since they’re two of my favorite characters.
Also, episodes with Mifune teaching.
Or they could skip ahead a decade or so, with Maka, Tsubaki, etc as Teachers at the academy, Angela as a meister, Death the Kid as the next Grim Reaper, and Soul, Liz, Patty, Jacqueline, and Harvar as Death Scythes. Then a new batch of meisters and weapons as students (including Angela, since Mifune is going to become a teacher, and when she’s old enough Angela will probably be a meister)
It gets me kind of pissed that Bleach, which is rather “meh” can have HUNDREDS of episodes, but Soul Eater only gets one season of 51 episodes. :/
Hopefully, BONES can get the budget, then hopefully have the new season ready by the end of 2011, and then if FUNimation dubs it right away, it could simulcast in America and Japan.
This is really one of the best series, animated or otherwise, I’ve ever seen. Pretty much no unlikeable characters (I’ll admit, I don’t mind Excalibur). GREAT plot and soundtrack. Great voice acting. It’d be hard to find bad things about this. I’m glad I discovered it.
I was glad to see Lord Death didn’t die. I was wondering if Death the Kid would end up replacing him at the end.
Also.. if you could split this one into two parts, why not the other episodes..?
ok… im not even gonna attempt to address all of that… but one thing i will address is what you said about Bleach. The reason that it is “meh” (your words not mine cause i love Bleach) is caused by the exact thing that you want for Soul Eater. When an anime becomes too long it starts to get to this “meh” state (again, i personally don’t feel this way, but i recognize that a majority of people do). If this anime is to be continued, be forewarned that it may become a monster in the future (i dont tend to feel this way, but again, i recognize a majority of people do and most likely will feel this way)… which is what most people believe is going to happen to Code Geass… which is receiving a new season that completely undermines the amazing emotional ending of the original Series (i do feel a little upset about this tho…)
I agree with nico you guys want them to continue Soul Eater but you don’t like the Meh of Bleach. If they continue soul eater then it will become like bleach especally to those of us who read the manga. they will have a lot of filler episodes that have nothing to do with the storyline.
BTW They are making a new series for Code Geass but most likley we will not see any of the familiar characters. This new serise will take place around the time of the first season.

damn i dont no about anyone else but i think that ending was more than disappointing after watching it i feel unsatisfied and sad that it ended in a way that seemed loose ends were just left loose. the crack in lord death’s mask. Where all these new ideas popped out from. it seemed they rushed the ending and tried to add as much things as possible at the last minute. like doing homework the lesson before and trying to fill it up with loads of good stuff but not really reviewing over it. Either way the anime was fantastic easily one of the best i have ever watched. the idea of remaking it like fma brotherhood maybe good if bones have enough money to do so as like this i think fma’s ending was disappointing aswell as it didn’t follow the manga. but these are just my views and i am sure many will disagree with me but it just seems this greats anime should have an even greater ending and this “greater” ending wasn’t delivered in my opinion.
I think the creators left a pretty good plot hole, or maybe they didnt notice, but the soul for Medusa never appears, so maybe, somehow, Medusa is still alive? Season 2 pl0x!
In the ending credits montage, the Medusa snake can be seen coiling around a tree in the scene with Free and Erika. Knowing her, that’s no big surprise.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved this series, but I don’t think another season is necessary. I think they tied most of it up well enough, and a loose end or two is okay. I wouldn’t complain if they were greenlighted for another, but I’d rather it end here than have a mediocre or worse continuation, which is always a possibility.

Hmm… I think that they made the ending credits and added stuff was that they wanted to leave an opening for anoither series. Since they are adding it to adult swim, a ton of people will watch it, and they will most likely raise more money. Plus having adult swim pay them to run it would Help. I’m not sure if they are paying BONES or not for runnign it but lets hope they do. Also, I would love another season because with the manga plot, it must be impossible to make it crappy. I mean look at Black Star, he surpassed God. Hands up if you thought that was impossible.

Awesome that Medusa’s still alive, though I wonder if it was intentional all along or if they were just covering their tracks after her soul not appearing in her last episode. Free needed more screentime though, but what little he did say usually included an awesome sentence to compensate for his absences.

we can forever remember this as one of the greatest animes and manga series ever made. we all agree there should be a new season now i dont know about you but many artist retire a series and but it on the shelf to collect dust, but sometimes when theres so much feedback that the series is beloved and is missed greatly the creator will pull it off the shelf and blow of the dust. If you guys/gals consider yourselves true fans join me in writing a letter to the creator asking to see more of Maka, Soul, Kidd, and Black Star. If enough of us can cause a commotion then the creator will take notice and reevaluate the retirement of the series. I thought the entire series was amazing up until the ending which I didn’t really like too much. The whole Maka beating Asura with just her “bravery” thing didn’t seem quite right to me. A brave girl vs a superpowered insane monster? Really? It just seems a bit corny and stupid. I think it would have been better if she had defeated him with Soul’s help. Her bravery still could have played a big role in taking Asura’s guard down, but as it is I just don’t think it was done very well.
On another note, I would have liked to see some more epilogue-like stuff at the end, probably involving Death, Maka’s father, Stein, and especially Crona (one of my 2 favorite characters). Of course, that is just personal preference, but I think it would help complete the ending. As it is now, I feel like the writers left it unfinished or forgot to add a scene or something.
Despite my issues with the last episode, I absolutely loved this series and hope to see another season in the near future!

I have to say I am an experienced anime/manga follower, yet I have never EVER encountered something similar to this. I have laughed so many times at all those random moments, I have never been this intrigued by a story line, I love all the small details (what, Kid, you want to use your uber cool movement of justice all in one shot I DONT THINKS SO B*TCH BAM right through his chest) that made this anime so so unique. I know that there is no way the creators of this awesomeness are ever gonna read this, but damn you bastards got me good, I am AWED and I don’t say that often, if I say it at all.

k, well i loved this series and all. However, that ending was horrible….. I’m sorry…… it just was. I know they were trying to wrap the show up and all but BRAVERY!? Really??? That’s the best they could come up with? Well all and all the show was amazing, but that ending kinda ruined the experience a bit.

OMG!! ppl have been saying they think the handle of Soul’s weapon form gets longer with each stage, and………… THEY’RE RIGHT!!!!! XD look at part 1 at 3:20 (or a little b4 that if you prefer). keep your eye trained on the end of the handle, and you’ll see it increase in length!!!

1. i hate the fact soul almost died two times because he is awesome and i could not go on living knowing that he is dead
2.am i the only soul fangirl out there cause i feel lonely in the fact that i think soul is hot for an anime character (plz reply if you agree with me)
3. they need a second season to kill medusa for good (hopefully crona will be the one to do it), have soul and maka in a relationship (even though i will have to kill maka for it since soul is MINE!!!!!), reveal kid’s mom, and show maka’s mom
4.i read somewhere that once soul becomes a death scythe in the manga he gets wings when in scythe form also i read that there is a storyline where all of the main characters get turned into the opposite gender which would be the funniest thing EVER!!!
5. i cannot beleive maka killed the ashura with bravery and not soul that would have been epic
6. in the 2nd opening theme song they chose the best song for this show. also they should not have shown maka dead in soul’s arms considering soul is the one that almost died (btw i love how soul got rid of the demon OMNOMNOM)

8. i absolutyly LOVE all of soul’s outfits he has especially his tux and the red suit he wears when in the black room (he looks sexy in a tux) i also love his little headband he has later in the show
9. I LOVE IT WHEN SOUL PLAYS THE PIANO. IT IS SOOOOOOOOOO EPIC AND SEXY.
10. they need an episode explaining soul’s family so that we know where soul got his amazing piano skills
11. i hate yet love the 7th and 8th episodes hate: cause soul almost dies love: because soul has the best lines in it “You know what they say when in rome eat lots of pasta!!!!”-soul
12. (last one,promise)i love it when soul plays basketball because he is so epic also because basketball is my favorite sport. i also think they should kill blair cause i hate her for being what she is and doing what she does.

Well actually it is CONFIRMED that there will be another soul eater series.
On soul eater wiki, they said that they’re waiting for the story to progress so they can start the new one… which basically means, we have to wait for more of the manga to come out.

and honestly; the ending was GOOD but i thought they could make it a little better like beat the crap out of the kishin with Soul and not just bravery. That’s my opinion ^.^
i agree with you about the end but i woul like some info about this new series like weither or not all of the main characters are going to stay in it or will it be all new characters cause i still think they should cover some things they missed like the medusa snake during the end credits

That ending was kinda disappointing… Bravery? I was at least hoping Maka would use her hug power thing like she did with Chrona but turned up to eleven… but that wouldn’t work. Also, I hate endings where everything instantly goes back to being all normal and perfect.

dude…. from the way they did the ending it seemed like they were trying to hurry up and tie things up…. just saying that the ending was too peaceful to seem like they were going to make a continuation, but then again it is Funimation… they already made their money from dragon ball so technically they don’t need to do any thing else. so if this anime is continued it will more than likely be some other animation company, like amniplex or VIZ. and the whole reason i believe this is because if funimation truely liked soul eater they would’ve done what they did with dragon ball and made literally every chapter in the manga into an episode… and if they would have then we still probably wouldn’t be anywhere near the confrontation with asura. but still i love this fuckin anime it has made me into a little symmetrical bastard! and i do hope they continue where they left off, even though it seems unlikely… Oh and they definitely need to give kilik and his team more parts, cause they are bad ass too, with the exception of ox…. basicly all i got to say is if you don’t understand what im saying now then go and read the manga, baba yaga’s castle was a much larger part of the story, and it had importance for both teams… and the after math as a way more ironic twist to it aswell…

Woah…….awesome show. the ending could have been better though.
here are a few things:
1. ive heard rumors that the creators arent making anymore episodes because they dont have enough money. go buy some dvds and get souleater back on track!
2. ive seen a comment that stated the persons penpal in japan said that they already made a 2nd season and are working on the 3rd. is that true??
3.Exalibur: FOOL! excalibur takes the cake when coming to lines ^_^
4.Everybody take a stand if the rumors ARENT true and they arent making another season write a letter to tell them how much evryone likes soul eater and they sould make a new one. if they ARE true then write a letter anyway it will make them make the season better!

Well I guess Medusa didn’t really die if you payed attention to the ending.
this is the most wonderful anime ever. ic ould write paragraph oevr paragraph about how i must see more. i am consumed with questions. what does death look like under his mask? what are those stripes on kid’s head mean? i forgot the name, but as ahsura said, it really is something important. who are the other people in deaths former team? could they be potential enemies to come? if maka is a weapon and a meister, and ashura was the only one to witness it, will anyone ever know her talent? why didn’t excalibur help at all? he could have destroyed ashura in a single blow?was there a reason? are they not selling the next season on DVD at best buy? if so im going there asap. i could go on with this for a long time. but i should be buying the next season right now. i end my comment here……..
