Kinda weak ending tho. would’ve rathered that ultimate kishan hunter thing that came outa nowhere to have finished him off. Lolz it cut him like cheese and then he just popped back together!! I laughed my ass off at that xDD
Personally, I’d have rathered Maka ressonate her soul wavelength with everybody, which, in turn, made that Ultimate Kishan Hunter into the final attack that finished him T__T. Kinda like Spirit Bomb in DBZ xD. that would have been cool though honestly I’m just an “ultimate attack flashy boom” sorta ending guy lolz

I obviously do not think that out of all six hundred comments or so anybodies going to read mine and i dont really care if you do. Firstly I would give this a 4 out of ten overall because of some obvious reasons. First there is just about no plot at all through the whole story. It jumps from one thing to the next erotically without any distinguishable pattern. They just want to drag the series out for as long as possible because they cant think of anymore ideas. Like yay we killed medusa! Oh no she has a sister who awakens without anybody ever hearing about her before whos going to fill like the next ten episodes! NOOOOOO. Or we want to fill some space with samurais who Blackstar has already beaten because he needs more self improvement. Hooray for fillers! Second is the fact that all the characters are flimsily made. How are we ever actually supposed to relate to any of the characters? Oh the Thompson sisters grew up on the streets theyve had a tough life.????? Or the fact that they all have really weird habits like egoism or Asymmetriphobia. Where did all these characters all come into being. You guys have pretty sorry lives if you can cry for characters like these. The only well made character in my opinion would be Crona because at least we know his life story. I realize that this is nothing more than a comedy adventure and it may make them easier to laugh at but really this is just terrible. Third is the fact that nobody dies. Through countless battles and mortal wounds only three people die through the whole 51 episodes. I mean when you get stabbed straight through shouldnt you die or at least i dont know loose a limb or something? I mean the first series was bad enough there is no reason to save characters for a second one. Anyways cant you just magic some crappy new characters into the series like you already have? Fourth is just the idea behind the ending. I mean are you kidding me you kill the all powerful kishin through bravery? One girl destroys the thing that killed death because she was stupid enough to go kamikaze on someone. Thats ridiculous. Almost as bad as the power of love and friendship which was another stupid part of this. I mean really, Im going to destroy all evil with a ray of goodness. You should listen to professor Stein. Another thing that irked me for some random reason but i thought i should put in is the fact that they never say im going to kill its always im going to defeat you and do you know why? Because nobody ever dies! Obviously i seem like a pessimist towards this series and it did make me laugh at some points and stopped the boredom a bit but this is deffinetly not the best anime ive seen
Yeah, I see some of your points, like the fact that Crona was stabbed all the way through (and through the stomach no less.) and only needed surgery and he would be fine. The ending did upset me as well. I mean bravery. Come one now. But I must say though the plot was jumpy they ran with it well, everything opened some sort of door into another until the final ending. However another thing is that at the end they left alot of answers unanswered. For me personally was, “Where did Maka’s sudden new weapon powers come from and how did her father or Soul never even get a hint at there existence???” or “After being IMPALED, how did Kid live [OH OH, MAYBE IT WAS THE POWER OF BRAVERY!!! Sorry, rude joke >3>] ???” or “At the end the samurai (whose name escapes me at the moment. . . ) he was so ready to rush into battle after being wounded so badly, and seemed to be perfectly fine as well!!! As was Black Star, he was wounded even worse to the point where everything was pointing to the fact he was dead.” Another question that did um. . . well. . . intrigue me is how did Death make a baby with a lady if he is so paper thin. . . is he as*xual??? I mean, they don’t really mention a mother in this. . . or any parents at all really. . . except for Maka’s and Black Star’s. However I disagree greatly with you on the fact that this isn’t a good series. I personally love it. It was a little sloppy at times but it is still good, or maybe even better. C:

I’m honestly surprised I even typed that much, but I did have alot to say, I just like writing and I wanted to respond to the comment, its not that I just do this everytime, its only because that person did really.
Actually the reason Kid lived I’m assuming is because he’s a Shinigami, and the whole idea throughout history that you can’t kill gods (which is totally thrown in the garbage after taking a look at Norse mythology, but w/e)

Okay, if you haven’t read the manga, I recommend it, it’s ongoing, and the Kishin is still alive, Medusa’s death was a…pleasant twist I suppose? She got what she had coming, though poor Chrona pays the price. She died in one of the recent chapters too, the connections in the manga make more sense, and the twists are on a much larger scale. Maka and Soul almost died in one of the chapters (which I have to re-read because it’s an amazing chapter owo) -tried not to spoiler while getting my point across-
Also, Maka is not part weapon in the manga.
I have no idea why they put that in the anime, because it is just too inconsistent with the rest of the series. Nowhere in any of it does it even say that’s possible, so I don’t get why they had to put so much random trash in the final arc, seeing as none of it could be connected to any basis previously stated in the series. Just makes it seem like the producers of the anime were stupid, and can’t follow a decent storyline.
But yeah, less inconsistencies in the manga :I
You guys ALL over do the whole rating thing, I have never read the manga and personally enjoyed that little part where it says she is part weapon so if you guys want to go ahead and pick out EVERY last detail that “made no sense” or “wasn’t in the ____” to be honest i don’t care and neither do most people i really enjoyed the series and i can not wait for season 2 so if you want to rant about small details that no one would noticed until you pointed them out then go on some trolling forum, otherwise keep it to yourself…
This is why we read the manga, I like the ending of the anime as it sends a good message, but it doesn’t add up well enough to call it an ending, like: how you hear Maka’s ribs being broken by the Kishin yet she can fight and move, like it was a papercut. The bravery thing is a pretty clever message, but the others were brave too, as she said, everybody has it, so why couldn’t the others defeat him? They were brave enough to take hits for both of them and fight to protect Maka and Soul, so why couldn’t they have defeated him if they were brave too? It was cute, but not a good ending to any series. Though the animation for that final shot was superb.
In the manga, the Kishin is still alive, and missing; and Chrona’s on a rampage as he/she’s been corrupted almost entirely by madness. The storyline is more clear. Everything went awry in the anime after Arachne was awakened, I believe. Several people die in the manga, such as Joe, the guy obsessed with rumba coffee. Sid technically died in the very beginning lol. Uh, Justin Law is psychotic, you meet Deathscythes from other continents (and you find out why the one from Africa couldn’t be contacted in the anime) And boy do tehy shoot to kill, Chrona alone kills a ton of people, and was recently made an enemy of the DWMA for destroying towns. In the scene where the Mizune sisters attack Death City, you actually see people getting sliced up instead of just building and the fish shop guy.
Give the manga a chance, and don’t be deterred by the art, it gets alot better towards the more recent chapters. It’s actually pretty different, as most animes it started out the same as the manga, but broke off and pulled a Fullmetal Alchemist, by changing the storyline drastically. I really hope they re-make the anime at some point down the road, because the way teh manga’s going, it would be absolutely amazing.
Hope I could help clear some things up; I was really disappointed by the anime, though the manga makes up for it, it’s still a tiny bit choppy in some areas, but it usually makes sense a chapter or two later, which makes it similar to real life, and relate-able.

See the series as a short story not a novel considering the 400 episodes were 90% of it is fillers
Things to know about short stories:
they leave alot unanswered,and few characters get involved with the main plot or even teh whole “text”
as far as the reality go, don’t say you can’t survive getting stabbed through a lung or your stomack unless you can transform into an weapon.
as for the ending it’s most likely because hey death coulden’t kill it c’mon The Lord Death coulden’t kill him and you want 3-1 kid to do it it’s just lead to a way were they had struggles ending it.
locust you’re a frekin idiot, this anime is pretty bad ass, well compared to some of the anime’s i’ve seen, and out of 97 anime’s i’ve seen this one i would reccomend to anime lovers, it has it’s action, comedy, tragities, aaaannnnd naked people, not to mention blood~ there were also parts that were ‘awwwww’ moments, and for the creators i applaud them, soo get off your high horse, and actually compare it to other animes, because i truely think you’re lying about that, and for other people who may be reading this, this anime is good for both genders, unlike some, like special A (it’s really mostly for girls) and even perhaps maid sama, there are really only a few types which would appeal to both genders~! I would wait for the manga to end first. Seeing as what happened with Fullmetal Alchemist; Soul Eater is already really popular, and once FMA’s manga ended, they started Brotherhood because the anime got so off-topic, and strayed from the manga too much. The same happened for Soul Eater, so we may see a second series sometime down the road, as the manga’s got some pretty amazing hooks and cliffhangers/they’d be ridiculously stupid to not do anymore animation for it!
Also, there are rumors going around that a new season of Soul Eater is just on the horizon, someone said 2012, though there’s no proof from what I can see, but who’s to say it’s not coming, right?
So far they are just rumors, but here’s hoping for a new series/season!

I dont see how you can complain about this anime if you didnt like it then i say you should of watched it in the first place i liked all the charecters some more than others and i liked how you got to see parts of theyre back stories as you had no idea about them when this anime begun. Soul Eater is an amazing series though it ended on a bad note i mean will Maka and Soul hit it off will Crona tell Maka how he feels will Back*Star ever become a god and will Tsubaki ever get fed up with him i dont see how any of these charecters can seem dull to you theyre very well thought through yes i mean some you can’t really relate to well mabey thats because theyre not human theyre weapons and meisters. No one is called dead because theyre body mabey gone but they only turn into a Soul and if you didnt realise its called Soul Eater for a reason. I think what happens to Maka at the last ep made scence as she was part miester and Weapon. though theres other questions i ask myself like, whys Death’s child only called Kid wheres Kids mother, will we ever meet Maka’s mum what about Souls family and will Crona be part of theyre new team?
None the less i cant wait for the next series to come out im itching it see it. This is by far the best anime i have seen and i have seen a few, its full of suprises all right but theyre amazing and heart renching too I mean i cryed when i saw Crona get stabed as he lept to save Maka, though i’d like to see a bit more romance -.-
Anyway can’t wait for the next series please keep me posted on it, for now anyway im going to go online and see if i can’t get hold of some Soul Eater merchandise.

Omg!!!!! Everyone complains about it being nothing like the manga!!! Who cares!!!! 1. It was great 2. Hasnt anyone ever read and seen Harry potter or per y Jackson and the Olympians: the lightning thief? Or treasure island which isn’t even based off the book I dont think. It’s just like those ok! It’s not easy to make a show or movie like the author of it’s book wanted. Sometimes the film maker sees things that need improvement and does so by changing way happens in the show or movie, or he just doesn’t know how to show what he wrote In the manga so he cuts it out. If u hate this so much stop watching it and remake the manga urself so we can see.

Are sun and moon actually breathing/coughing or are they laughing? And does blood only come out of moon’s mouths if people are killed (at night), since sometimes hes bloody (some wordplay in here, am i right?) and sometimes he (?) isn’t…? And does it scale? (Though it seems to work that way, im not quite sure about it at all…).
And Medusa’s face is kinda creepy, uh.
Does anyone else feel bullshitted? Black Star was in enchanted sword mode, and couldn’t even scratch the kishin. Kid had 2000% resonance, it’s even implied that he drew strength from his dad, and all he did was downgrade the kishin (might be more of a feat than I’m making it out to be) but Maka kills him with a freaking punch?!
btw, my name has absolutely nothing to do with maka. i’ve had it for years.
Ok. First off, I love this anime more than I thought I would. When I first saw it, while searching Netflix, I thought it looked childish. But, I decided to watch the first episode anyway. Well, when it was over, I was scrambling to find the remote to put on the next one. Yeah, that good. I have seen multiple animes, and I have to say, this comes in as a very close second. Every since then, I have been watching all the episodes, and scrambling to find more information on this amazing shows. My youtube favorite playlist is literally all Soul Eater amvs. I have put alot of time into this, and am very happy with the ending. I just knew that not only would Maka win the final fight, she would be the strongest in a fight. Her power was the best, because, like she said, it isn’t special. Also, I don’t know about everyone else on here, but I predicted Maka having some sort of weapon power emerging. Just Sayin’. I hope to see a season two, just because I am so addicted that without it, I might die. Lastly, I know that some people don’t like this anime and are making comments about it. Please, do yourself a favor. Don’t wacth an anime you KNOW that you don’t like, and then start talking trash about it like a loser. No one appreciates and, and it annoys the hell out of me. A lot of people are saying that there will be a second season in 2012 but I’m seriously doubting it. As much as I loved this anime it went completely off from the manga and would be really hard to tie it up. In the manga Medusa and the kishin arent dead (well Medusa is now) Maka never went after Crona and Crona went to Medusa and went insane with madness. Mifune was killed by BlackStar and the whole mess with Baba Yaga Castle is comepletely different. Theres also Justin and Noah… It’d be extremely hard to make another season because of all the things they changed in the anime but it would be amazing if they did.
Comment up there ^ couple more huge details. Maka is not half weapon even though that’d be awesome. Soul becomes a death scythe using Arachne’s soul which Maka and Soul defeat. But because of the anime that cannot happen because Ashura kills and eats Arachne’s soul. DAMNIT.

…Thats it? Nooo!!! Okay, there are a few things I have to say. ONE, I love you Stein. You are one of my favorite characters ever in anything, because you are so badass and dare I say, hot. TWO, I also love you Kid, you are so cute with your OCD and hair stipes, as well you are a reaper (super badass + 10 points). I REALLY hope they make a second season. I want to see me some more Stein and kishin killing. This is one of my favorite animes, and I think I’ll have to go hunt down the manga now. Fools!

i found the anime enjoyable but not the best i’ve seen :/ i didn’t like how each character had their own different extremes it just seemed weird like kid’s whole symmetrical thing it was funny but when it got in the way of fights it was like -_- seriously? and also everyone kept getting stabbed through the stomach and turning out perfectly fine then the bravery thing…. i don’t get how the keishin had big flip out over it i’m not usually one to criticize but i think the anime had a whole lot more potential if they just developed the characters better and made the plot more complex it would of been super crazy amazing awesome but other wise it was just a fun watch and defibitly a hundred times better than hell girl it seriously has zero plot just don’t even waste ur time with that one XD

Why is this anime over? This is one of the best animes I watched but not better than Dragonball and Naruto. It’s one of my favorites now but the fact that Medusa is dead sucks…
hi just saying the people who have bad stuff that say about this anime are probably comparing it to the really big anime’s like bleach and Naruto witch are still going at like 300+ episodes this anime wasn’t meant to be big otherwise it would have carried on but I will agree that the ending is a bit bad 3 kids can do what the grim reaper couldn’t
So… I kinda liked the anime. Sure it had random plot devices and was really jumpy and inconsistent at times but I thought it was funny and kind of endearing in it’s own way. Plus I really liked the animation, it just seemed unique. I don’t see why feeling emotion for these characters is such a big deal, I thought it was characters were decently developed and left room for you to speculate some things. And don’t complain about characters not dying, if you want to watch an anime where everyone dies and makes you sad go watch Elfen Lied. All in all, I really enjoyed Soul Eater

i dont think bravery was really the key cause i mean seriously black* was the bravest of them all yet he didnt he destroy the kishin and he was almost killed. i would rate this 9/10 but crona is just way to cute so…… 1000000000000/10!!!!!! If the 3 of them team up beat asura then i won’t say anything it just doesn’t make sense when she the weakest of all of them beat asura by herself without help.(cuz remember he beat death and also juz ate a witch soul). Also the funny thing is when she start talkin about “bravery” {she hold out the postcard tat her mom gave her} if it ain’t for stein i think she still won’t figure it was the word bravery on the postcard lol.

My favourite character would have to be Black*Star because he never gives up, and he always tries his hardest to save everyone, even though he fails to kill the Kishin himself, he never gives up! My second favourite would have to be Maka! Because Maka has bravery, she always stands up for things and trust her friends with everything. But the fact she is a weapon and doesn’t know is exciting!
And when they said that it isn’t the end and that one day, they would have to fight another Kishin, it sounds like another season is coming! I can’t wait! I’m so happy right now, i’m going to recommend this anime for all my friends and family! I’m sure they will love it! I really hope they make another season!

Ok people, why do ya guys hate the ending? whats wrong with the message? bravery is something we all need. its much more than just a word. im glad they put that in because that made the ending much more special. honestley my fav ending than any other anime. There are people out there fighting for there lives and seeing this message really relates to it. BRAVERY SAVES LIVES. and i hope that people like my mom can use their bravery to conquer their demons, in my moms case cancer. Cuz bravery beats all demons. <3 this anime for showing me true moral lessons.

um for the long comment people if u watch all american cartoons the same problems you adress are the same in cartoons in all regions if a person is scratched up and the next scene they seem to be ok it becuase they are in a cartoon! also its obvious the ideas flowed perfectly, when unexpected things happen they have flashbacks within the episode explaining the plot thesis, so all you indecent amatur critics gtfo plz and thank you.

I finished this anime in three days (would have been sooner minus homework), but it’s been the most thoroughly enjoyable one I’ve watched.
Too bad it’s over, but that just makes me wanna read the manga.

this was an ok show, I mean, it would have been even more awesome if there had been more character development, more blood and the series had been longer. But its a cartoon not an action movie, so its understandable. I just don’t know how to deal with the series being over.

the anime was gd but the ending was bad you can tell it was rushed i get the part about bravery conquering fear, but they could have made his defeat greater he was killed … by a punch. And what was up with everyone getting back up like nothing happened how the hell you go from near death to alive n happy in 2 sec. makes no sense. RUSHED ENDING.

I really enjoyed that. It was a fun experience to watch it! Now I am going to run around crying because it is over for the time being. XD Whatever you guys may say, you enjoyed it or you wouldn’t have watched the entire thing.
I loved this anime SO MUCH
. Still, I wish multiple things would happen:
1. I kinda wanted to see Maka’s mom at one point especially at the end when they were fighting Asura and that she would ultimately help them in the end.
2.More Background Information such as: Medusa, White Star, and Death’s match up with the Thompson sisters (I mean yeah I gives you a few seconds of footage where he finds them and stuff, but I want a more detailed explanation.
3.Weapon blood in Maka (Like WTF?): It doesn’t even explain how this even happened or what is has to do with anything besides I just being there and randomly becomes active.
4. The fact that they take wounds that would easily kill them but is easily fixed. At least make it to where the wound doesn’t seem so easily lethal and survivable.( I mean I know this happens in a lot of animes but still)
5.I heard that some of the antagonists from the manga weren’t here in the anime. Though I have no idea because I haven’t read the manga, it’s not cool to cut out characters and/or events.
I have more smaller complaints, but those are just petty and may be looking into the anime a lot more than I should. I still loved the show though to be completely honest. I heard they’re gonna make another one which I hope they do. It’ll be like Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood which I liked both. (though I liked Brotherhood better
) Either way if they do make another one, I’m definitely gonna watch it and still gonna like this show even if the newer one is better.
Wow, forget #3 I was just being an idiot and obviously forgot something. Even though her mother is a human meister, her father is a weapon so therefore she would obviously have some dormant weapon blood in her. The reason for it activating randomly though should at least be explained. It’s a bit too convenient for me. Oh well…

Personally, I’d have rathered Maka ressonate her soul wavelength with everybody making that Ultimate Kishan Hunter into the final attack that finished him T__T. Kinda like Spirit Bomb in DBZ xD. that would have been great in my opinion
I don’t about you guys but this is definitely one of the best animes I’ve seen in a long time. I agree with some people that it was a little sloppy with the jumping around and the whole “bravery” thing was cheesy, but I honestly loved EVERY character in the series. They were all unique and so awesome. I really really hope there is a second season because I’m dying to know what happened. They left a lot of questions unanswered and I know I’m not the only one that is dying to see Maka and Soul fucking kiss and be together.

I really liked this anime cause it wasn’t boring but I didn’t like the ending so much, they should make a season 2.
Two things.
1. Was I the only one annoyed with this ending? She punched him in the face but Kid hit him with a fucking nuclear blast. It was a majorly corny ending. The whole, bravery crap. I mean seriously I was expecting something… oh… I dunno… better? I dunno.
2. How everybody was suddenly alright? I mean come on! One minute they’re lying on the ground motionless, the next they’re talking, then they’re sitting up and all perfectly fine no a scratch on them. That bugged me.

Umm i will say good anime but in all honesty watching this anime kinda makes think fillers are a great invention i mean come on this story got shot around a lot of times and i am glad it ended because it would of dragged on to. Damn, more or less i will give it a rate of 5 out of 10 reason why? WELL lets start off characters throughout the whole anime each one of them just poped in like a new piece of candy and there background didn’t matter at all which makes it hard to take this anime into a classic everything they did was used before in different anime just in different styles and if you cant see that then Excalibur can tell you my answer to your decision (Don’t Let your emotions control your judgement FOOLS).Also you can tell very much they were trying to make there budget cause this anime all boiled down to Ashura* which is dumb when they never complete there first mission on making soul or any of the other weapons into death scythes and that makes me think what happen to the witches did they ever fight the grand witch. this also pisses me off about that immortal dude he was supposed to be really powerful yet he doesn’t even get punished he just becomes a liability in the plot as does the other villans?And whats that bull shit hes not evil hes they essence of evil just plan CRAP!? I tired of being the criticizer of this anime its good but this is the only anime i would preferred there fillers unless they were just boring then just summarize them don’t leave a project unfinished just because its easy to do. This is my answer to this anime unless they make another arc till then this anime is half done which makes it half good. 5 OUT OF 10. I mean naruto and bleach actually gets points for its filler approach holy fing crap huh?! watch a a lot crazier yet better anime i suggest is “When They Cry” about killing psychotic girls a ritual and a demon of what if sineros*. FLCL is just like this anime yet it does all this anime does in 6 episodes WOW freaking amazing huh? and i am acutally a fan of this or i wouldn’t of gave it half the rating i gave it so THE END.
