ok i must say i just finished this anime and im quite disappointed. i mean the anime is awesome but that ending was horrible. the punch of courage seriously? that’s like if naruto did the kick of BELIEVE IT! not trying to be mean or anything but im sure there are people who agree with me who are just afraid to admit it. but anyway i still love this anime. the manga is better though. the anime follows the manga up to episode 35 then the manga and anime are suddenly completely different.

damn thats a gay ending..lol maka punch the demon god to kill him n called it courage wtf lol but anyway coo anime. real talk the creators of this show miss up the ending n the series big time with that courage shyt. its no point having a demon god when you can kill him with courage. if they keep making more series the show will be riding on the fans n the witches on the show.
It seems im the last one to leave a comment(after all this time Ive been watching this show and now i comment),well all i have to say is that the “Demon God Hunter” has to be one of the best weapons in the world and i love for someone too disagree!
P.S. the manga is a little longer and i cant wait for the dub episodes!
ah what a pitiful anime i was hoping for there to be a bit romance between kid and maka or soul and maka or at the end maka dies and the only way to save her was to be kissed by 1 of them oh well but i love u kid this anime was alright wen i first saw it the first thing that attracted me was maka’s outfit and soured but any way i sort skipped to the end oh well i was kinda hoping that the end what have a really long battle oh well my dreams never come true and now look i have nothing to watch i feel pity for myself oh well i liked this anime and that’s all i have to say

Why is everyone arguing that Soul and Maka should’ve have kissed? If everyone wanted that, they should’ve watched a romance anime. This anime wanted to show that they Maka and Soul were close to each other as great friends not as romantic interests. I don’t think the creators intend the main characters to be any more than a group of best friends. Adding romance between characters would also ruin the pace of the story’s action.
episode was awesome but he lost to being punched in the face… i guess that’s why everyone always attacks the face it’s the weakness to everything even the kishin… it would also explain why shinigami wears a mask but i’m just being silly here lol

Right, so Shinigami couldn’t do crap all damage to him yet a punch ‘wrapped in courage’ kills the kishin?

Worst ending ever. They just talked crap the whole time and there was no fight scenes. When Soul and Maka returned, Black Star was on the floor with no explanation to it. Surely the Kishin would have finished them all off?
Argh, why the Hell was Maka the one to kill him, it could have been:
Black Star because he’s said the whole time that he’d surpass a God, and he also landed that basketball shot.
Kid because he is the Shinigami’s son.
Soul because he has the black blood, or the demon hunter would surely have killed him even if he wasn’t a demon.
I would be equally as content if Patty gave him the punch of death.

that cant be the last ep, i wanted to see them become death scythes, that was where the series began, them hunting for a witch soul.

and then everyone is just healed and content, even the Shinigami and Kid
BLACK STAR WAS SUPPOSED TO KILL HIM!! ALL THIS TIME HE WAS FIXATED ON THIS!!I mean, the had it all set up for Maka to come in and Star would be wounded, she stops the Kishin, and Black Star finishes him off, but nooo~o. The writer decides to break away from the main point of the ep before; they all work together.Instead we have the Kishin constantly saying fear and Maka saying courage{little star float in…then are Crushed}
didn’t satisfy, I sat through that LAME ending song, and for what?nothing, no them becoming scythes, I mean, did they just fall down and die after that!??!
and why did they introduce coffee guy if there was all along no point to having him being there other than to satisfy some craving the wriuter had to have an addict to coffee.
and they shouldn’t have introduced Eibon if he would only get one scene, and it still wouldn’t complete his character.
Stinks, i’m still hung up about the whole thing of Black Star just laying there and no good reason, he’s stronger than Maka, and even touigh they were all worried about it, none were affected by the insanity that was just PERMIATING from this guy…
i hope the manga has a better cleaner end

The writer makes it seem like there is so much tension between Soul and Maka and they end the ‘tender moments of Maka almost killing Soul and it ends up niot being such a big deal’ w/ them turning into a foto of handshaking…so stupid, they wasted the imp’s actions by doing that.
and also, why did they suddenly bring back Medusa’s minions annd those other kids in the final eps if they wre just going to run around like headless chickens and have their eyes hyjacked by clairvoyants?

so why is the kishin or demon god, called the demon god if he wasn’t really a demon at all?? then after he said he didnt fear anything anymore in the past few episodes he just breaks down and completely fears maka punching him? gay ending but w/e im glad this wont go onn and onnn like the naruto stuff.

I feel like writers for some Animes have really cool ideas for the story. Good morals, good lessons, etc. etc. But it’s all their head and they don’t know how to deliver it. Like why the hell did the Kishin die? I understand Maka had courage which was this unfathomable concept to the Kishin. Is that what killed him? In a place he thought nothing was uncertain fear and insanity came out to be uncertain just as courage was/is. I guess the writers kind of leave the meaning of the story up to you…typing this comment made me realize that lol. Ok! good last episode I guess! It’s natural we all want to know more though about the future of the Soul Eater world ;P

I absolutely loved this anime
and i love how they didnt add a whole mess of fillers just to explain pointless things everyones complaining that they didnt get answers. Like someone already posted “ANIME IS DIFFERENT FROM THE ACTUAL MANGA” if u want answers then go research i mean all i cared about was the main story and im very satisfied with how it turned out in my opinion : the reason maka was able to finish the KISHIN off with just a simple blow was because she shattered his world with fear the reason he couldnt be destroyed was because he feraed nothing he had nothing to lose thats where he got his power but as maka gained courage the kishin lost his way of thinking because he didnt understand her “courage” thats how i think she was able to win also i think he was called a “death god” was because he was able to cast away almost all his feelings therefor making him almost invincible

Omh my goodness. The anime over all was excellent, but the ending was suckish. They could’ve done a small sutscene at the end or soemthing after the end of the credis. And I think that the second ending song would have worked better for the credits instead of the first ending song. But that’s just my opinion…..
I also loved how Maka suddenly became a weapon, or rather revealed her weapon blood. That was cool and unexpected. I was like,”WOAH! oOo SHE’s a weapon?!?!” iT WAS NEAT!!! But I think that maybe the kishin should have returned to just regular old Asura and then been purified of his insanity and madness. He would’ve been totally hot….. X3
I think their should be a season two, but I also think there shouldn’t be. We dont want it to become like Naruto, which isn’t all that bad, but they just keep putting so many filler episodes in there, which sucks away from the luster of the actual main plot.
BTW, I think Chrona/Kurona (or however people wanna spell it…) should have been a boy. I mean, i was looking at her thinking she was kinda hot when I first saw her, and then imagine my supprise when I actually NOTICED that what she was wearing was a DRESS!! And then I saw that when the characters wee talking about Chrona/Kurona, that they said HER, o SHE. I was like,”WTH!?!? CHRONA’S/KURONA’S A GIRL?!?!? NOOOO!!!!!” SO yeah. And what ever happened to Ragnarock?!?!? IS HE STILL ALIVE?!?!? IS HE DEAD?!?!? WHAT’s GOIN’ ON?!?!
And I LULed when SHINIGAMI popped up with his giant hand and peace sign saying “REVIVAL!” I was like, YAY! SHINIGAMI’S ALIVE!
Anyways. Sorry for talking your ear off….. SOUL EATER FOREVER!!! BTW, for those who think its over: You can always come back and re-watch the series again =3 That’s what I do. Well, not right after watching the whole series. I come back after a while… But it’s sometimes better the second time around. Only difference: no surprises this time (for me anyways…)

Looking back to EVERYTHING I saw in this Anime it was DEFINITELY worth watching, don’t be sad you guys it was fun watching ^__^, who know so far the whole off the manga story and 51 episodes is similar to the whole Full Metal Alchemist different story then Brotherhood. xD

@Mara Hikaru: I do agree with you on many points, BUT the thing is that the mangaka has NEVER revealed if Chrona was a boy or a girl… in the Japanese language they do not have separate words for he/she, there is just one word for it ^^ in an interview Atsushi Okubo said that even he does not now the gender yet ^^
but yeah, it is quite disappointing that the anime ended just like that… but now that I got hooked up on the anime, I shall definitely read the manga, too ^^

Quick thank you to Admin for keeping this site up, for the most part I had no trouble viewing these episodes (although little fyi: the megavideo mirrors seem to be broken), and this is the only site that didnt lag me all the way to hell with their ads and chatbox crap. Much appreciated.
The anime itself isn’t bad, but isn’t life-changing either =/ I mean, good concept and likable characters for the most part, but lots of things aren’t explained or looked into. And things that didn’t need to be explained are … like Excalibur.
For example, how the hell are people born as weapons? (I know thats one of those things people just stfu and accept, but it bothers me)
Another example, unless I missed something, there is no explanation whatsoever as to how Soul and Maka meet (Soul’s origins are a complete mystery too). At least there was a brief explanation for how Black Star and Kid’s teams formed.
This. Ending. Sucked.
Good endings are fine, but PERFECT endings should be forbidden. All the goodies live, the major baddies die (except Medusa, she dies TWICE =D), and we get one of those heartwarming endings to a should-be epic battle that defies reason and logic (and Ashura’s 1-hit KO against Shinigami =_=).
Ashura was the embodiment of fear and Maka managed to defy fear, okay, I get that. But he still has a physical form last I checked (He was injected with black blood, ffs). To say that he got one hit ko’d by maka, who got beat senseless, had her sternum broken (I think, not sure which body part got snapped), and was crying about 10 episodes ago about “What to do?” is complete B.S.
Since the solution to Ashura was a mental/emotional one (which admittedly fits Maka’s role in this series), I think it would’ve been better to have a battle in Maka’s head instead of in person (I dont think Maka had to fight any illusions anyway…) >_> Just my opinion there.

Ok i have loved this whole season all the way through but to be honest that last episode really ruined it for me, the ending of this season seemed way too rushed and the way the kishin went so out of character from his cool no fear self to packing nuts and losing to a punch? so lame! Also i would like to know what happened to everyone else. shinigamis true form, soul becoming a death scyth…. So many questions left unanswered with a very medioka ending not what i expected….

This series did pretty much ram itself into the ground when it ended with so many things unexplained. The manga actually fills out some empty spaces, and it includes the students as TWO-STAR meisters.

~when it ends, the students are still ONE-STAR MEISTERS;
~no one knows what happens to Asura’s soul or whether Ragnarok is alive or dead;
~FOUR of the death scythes never made appearances;
~I don’t recall the Book of Eibon ever being retrieved;
~Soul and Maka still have black blood in them;
~the search for the demon tools is ongoing;
~Giriko (the chainsaw) told Justin (the holy guillotine) that they’d meet again, which, if this is the end, DOES NOT HAPPEN;
~Free, Eruka, and Mosquito are never completely dealt with;
~Mosquito’s other two transformations are never animated;
~and there’s a whole society of witches out there that could spout an endless amount of storyline.
I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT THIS IS THE END.
My theory is that since they got to Baba Yaga’s castle before the manga ever advanced beyond that, they just decided to give the animated series (along this storyline) a crash close.
Once the manga finishes up a good round of storyline, I’m sure someone will whip up the next batch. It might even be Funimation who’d to it, so then it’d come out in English in a more timely manner ^_^
]**Oh, and the answer to the human weapons question is the same reason Arachne was wanted by the witches; several hundred years ago, she sacrificed the souls of witches to fuse human subjects to weapons, and the weapon trait was passed down through generations. Arachne was just a whacked-out researcher like her little sis Medusa.

great anime you know a season 2 is possible they could use asuras weapon vajara as the new villain if you think about it asura did spit vajara out he could wake up and be affected by madness because he was inside asura for so long and could have a grudge against the DWMA for sealing him with asura when death ripped his skin off he was sealed away too maybe he could became the new kishin.
A next season is very possible considering what happened to DBZ when it got high acclaim. They never expected it to go past the Frieza saga, but on it went (and went and went and went). HOWEVER, there is a hang up to this.
The anime made a huge branch off from the manga’s storyline when it hit Baba Yaga’s Castle. It’s all virtually the same until you hit the imprisoned Medusa’s terms of exchange, Arachne’s master plan, the fate of the Book of Eibon, the takeover plan for Arachnophobia, and Crona’s reason for leaving.
For the series to go on, it’d either need a whole new storyboard that’d be an aside to the manga or a change in the anime’s storyline that would allow the series to go on WITH the manga. The second choice might actually get somewhere considering an episode could come out every month or couple of months while the manga keeps the storyline going, keeping the resonance stable O_o
The manga already includes something more complete than the anime with another one of the eight death scythes being revealed, the fate of the Book of Eibon being answered, Giriko(the chainsaw) and Justin(the holy guillotine) ACTUALLY MEETING AGAIN LIKE THE ANIME SAID THEY WOULD, Mosquito’s other two forms being revealed, and the protagonists becoming two-star meisters. This show really needs a branch off; this ending of it is just too curious for it to be the one definite end to Soul Eater as an anime series.
Wow did anyone notice the snake with arrows on the tree in the end credits. Medusa just wont die. Omg what a gay ending.

…and no, it’s NOT a great ending. It’s just something they threw together so they wouldn’t have to wait forever to come out with new episodes once the manga made a good amount of progress. The future of anything IS questionable, so it’s understandable that they dropped the series off here (for now).

I think i shat a brick though when Kid went pyscho and did his “I am a shinigami” attack. I so want him to gain more power. Because you know at the end of the whole thing he’s taking his father’s place.
And Soul and Maka still have so much chemistry to. I think soul will finally notice her romantically once she grows some boobs but that’s just me. And of course there’s still the black blood in their systems to deal with.
Also I think Corona’s got a lot going on in growing as a person and expanding his powers.
PLUS!!!!! MAKA CAN BECOME A WEAPON! You gotta know that’s going to pop up again….OHH I want her to battle soul now. That would be EPIC O_O! What if they became death scythes together?

Hey guys I don’ Know what f****** number I am but the fight was F****** awesome and I really want there to be a 2nd season or at least a movie because I f****** love this show and I really haven’t seen the manga. Well, I guess I have to find another f****** show or wait. Well I gotta say though Blackstar is just a complete a****** to basically everyone. Why do most people even like him? And Maka and Soul should get together they would make a f****** awesome couple and think everyone would agree. Oh yeah And Asura is a FUCKING ASSHOLE.

Hey if you watch the ending it shows you what happens at the end. I just watched it and I’m 100% certain there won’t be anymore episodes. It was really really good. Maybe they’ll make a movie?

…and no, it’s NOT a great ending. It’s just something they threw together so they wouldn’t have to wait forever to come out with new episodes once the manga made a good amount of progress. The future of anything IS questionable, so it’s understandable that they dropped the series off here (for now).
~when it ends, the students are still ONE-STAR MEISTERS;
~no one knows what happens to Asura’s kishin soul (whereas everything else was kishin eggs);
~FOUR of the death scythes never made appearances;
~I don’t recall the Book of Eibon ever being retrieved;
~Soul and Maka still have black blood in them;
~the search for the demon tools is ongoing;
~Giriko (the chainsaw) told Justin (the holy guillotine) that they’d meet again, which, if this is the end, DOES NOT HAPPEN;
~Free, Eruka, Giriko, Mosquito, and (from a hint in the credits) possibly Medusa are never completely dealt with;
~Mosquito’s other two transformations are never animated;
~and there’s a whole society of witches out there (one Grand Witch at the level of Lord Death) that could spout an endless amount of storyline.
